John Dicerrete was a good ol' boy from Texas who worked his fingers to the bone in a tire-manufacturing plant in order to buy his first car, which he then drove from town to town; killing strippers, whores, hitchhikers and loners along the way. He was arrested and sentenced to death, but Echo Mirage discovered the boy had a latent MR Node that had activated. The reason that there had been no evidence of the poison John was using was because it was psychic, he was litterally "stroking" people with the power of his mind, reading them as they died so as to experience it first hand.

Still, the boy had his uses to Echo Mirage, who installed a number of psychic controls on him in order to keep him from slipping his leash, and then quickly put John into the field as their first wetworks enforcer. John's powers allowed him to defeat any level of psychic protection, and assault the psychic's mind, an attack he usually maxed out for devestating effect.
