Ddh'llazsos

As an example of things best left unexplored, Ddh'llazsos is introduced. Its first appearance is during a fevered escape attempt from the Ziggursky Prison made by a group of Hellions. To say the least, the ritual did not achieve the desired effect, instead allowing Ddh'llazsos to occupy one of the Hellions' bodies and make a spectacular and bloody escape from the Zigguraut. Ddh'llazsos was content to rampage across Paragon City, but found that its powers were greatly weakened. It barely managed to escape to the Rogue Isles.

Throughout the series, scant explanation is given as to Ddh'llazsos' origin, or how the Hellions acquired the ritual that 'accidentally' summoned it. At one of the earlier mentions of Ddh'llazsos, Lord Wellington becomes visibly disturbed. The expression is given as a sign that he knows of Ddh'llazsos' true origin; he even goes as far as to refuse to mention its name.
