Desecratress
Out of the tradition of sexualized females as 'evil' characters comes Desecratress. She is set up as a counterpoint to In Nomine's Sanctity, standing against most Christian virtues.
Desecratress works for money. O.M.N.I. offered her a huge paycheque in exchange for her rather impressive mental powers, and she accepted gladly. While she is both calculating and insane, Sargeant Krieger is more of the former and Dust Spider more of the latter; Desecratress is more vain than anything. Overconfident to a fault, Desecratress is symbolic of the contemptuousness and hubris that money breeds.
She and Morgan are suspected to be vampires, although the series delicately dances around this issue. Casting suspicion on this belief, Desecratress has been seen during the day; however, conspiracy theorists point to her weakened powers during the day and subsequent revitalization at sunset to be proof that she is some sort of creature of the night. Whatever the case may be, she and Morgan share some common history, and frequently badger Sgt. Krieger to put them on the same taskforce. Their plans work just often enough that Krieger doesn't separate them in frustration.
There is some mention of unresolved conflict between Desecratress and Lord Wellington, although the nature of that conflict is left unspoken. Morgan reminds her of it in the INR and OMNI: King of Kings TPB as a means of bringing Desecratress into the joint team to destroy the Rogue Isles' Gentlemen's Club. Speculation holds that either Lord Wellington raised her from her grave (not expecting to be confronted with a thinking corpse), or that she is his daughter, experimented on in his necromantic youth. Detractors of this second theory point to Lord Wellington's very obvious British heritage versus Desecratress' South Asian roots as their proof that this is not the case.
