Personality and Appearance

Galen is a Half-Elf from the country of Yum, far to the East of the Empire. His hair is pitch black, and kept in a kind of spikey drawn back look, and he sports a goatee making him look like an effete generation x'er. Galen wears a simple monk's robe, with wrappings around his arms and ankles, although he uses magic to keep the clothes mended and clean. He carries himself with a small build and powerful muscles, but he's very pale and lacks the muscular mass of humans in his weight class, much like his Elven predecessors.

Personality wise, Galen is a joyfully suicidal, recognizing no threat that he can't overcome. He is quick with stories about his life after leaving Yum, and very big hearted towards animals and the less-advantaged. He tends to be speciesist when angry. He doesn't really like the idea of being considered an official anything, so he's quick to assert his independence when mistaken as an official member of the court. Sometimes, he seems sad, but takes solace in his friends.

Pre-Game History

Galen is a career itinerant and adventurer. He has travelled Lifeholme's continent and spent time in the Vittorian Empire, explored a city deep underneath the Great Road, faced the immortal Collector in a game of wits, and befriended Comrade Bat, quite possibly the last of the extinct Vittorian Blood Bats, which were hunted for years due to an unfortunate myth claiming they were related to vampirism.

While he is more comfortable moving on, a chance encounter with a Paladin of the King's retinue led to a fling that's lasted almost half a year. Since then, Galen has befriended the Prince and latched on to his retinue as a kind of older brother figure, although most outsiders see him as a court jester due to his disinterest in being serious. While he enjoys the lap of luxury, Galen wants to adventure. He seeks other half-elves, looking for something or someone to give him answers he doesn't have, and he worries that eventually he will leave his friends behind to sate his wanderlust.
