"Captain" Gerard Schiller

A former night watchman in Altdorf, Schiller was suspicious of Viktor von Untergard's credentials after arresting him for possession of stolen property, but when Viktor's mysterious backer came through with an amulet of dispensation, granting him clemency from the charges, Schiller became more accomadating to the young man, running favors for him in order to curry favor with whatever noble lord Viktor was serving. When the authorization to form the expedition came, Viktor offered Gerard a commission as Captain of the Untergard expedition, a position he is quick to defend his qualifications for, despite relying heavily on Hans Bruemer's skills to keep the convoy alive.
