In Nomine Redux: Bless the Child TPB
Bless the Child, the first In Nomine Redux trade paperback, is a bit of an odd duck for fans. It chronicles where Ignorant Mass has been, first during the breakup of In Nomine and later when INR is reformed. The storyline introduces a number of inconsistencies. (The status of Sanc/Iggy's marriage in the post-Rikti war, the age of their children, and the motivations of why one of them became a villain do not jibe with material within the INR storyline, which could be attributed to a shoddy release schedule.) By Mike Montoya's own admission, the story wasn't written by him, he was just the final say, and he didn't know what he wanted these things to be. INR material printed after Bless the Child (#24 and on) does not confirm or deny either storyline, instead choosing to let readers decide whose interpretation of things they agree with.
Over the course of BTC, we are introduced to Metraton and Haamiah, brother and sister crimefighters living together and working the streets together. We learn that they are working for Ignorant Mass, who is using an old refitted Fifth Column communicator to stay in touch with them. He calls himself "Father". The two do not know who "Father" is, assuming it to be a reference to the Lord, although the figure of Ignorant Mass in shadows is rather obvious to readers. Eventually, the two kids find themselves in conflict with a third sibling, who has become a villain under OMNI. Ignorant Mass saves the day, only to have his children angry that he deceived them. The series ends with Ignorant Mass calling Sanctity, although we are not privvy to what is said between them.
Some readers argue that Sanctity's wedding ring is more prominent post-Bless, although I have yet to confirm this.
