The Pool is an unexplained phenomenon that lies a day's travel to the south, towards the country of An-Teng. Perfectly set into the ground with a smooth lip, it is a large rectangular pond with no waves, surrounded by a thin gravel lip, incongruous in the weeds and tall grass of the plain it's set in. It never shows any reflection in the weather, remaining still in the wind and absorbing raindrops without a ripple in the surface. Two years ago, a jellyfish with legs crawled out of the pool, screamed loud enough to be heard for leagues, and died, choking itself. Chiana set about organizing ways to try and destroy this wyld abomination, but has been unsuccessful until now.
