Return to Untergard

A Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying Game starring Alex and Jeremy, run by Patrick.

As the Storm of Chaos invaded the Empire, the Imperial militia of Untergard united with a group of Elves and Dwarves to defend a small bridge across a gorge, thus preventing the Chaos Warrior army from crossing. They were slaughtered to a man, and their skeletons were used to reinforce the bridge. However, they did buy time for a few small desperate caravans to escape from the town, riding East to take shelter in the walled fortress-city of Middenheim.

The war ended there, with Middenheim's great cannon armada firing night and day, turning the lands around the city into a wasteland no forces could cross, until the siege broke. The Undead, Orcish, and Vampire armies fell away, and peace reigned once more.

It has been a decade and a half since the Storm of Chaos, and the scars of battle are beginning to heal. Viktor Von Untergard is the son of the Graf of Untergard, recognized as rightful ruler of Untergard by the Imperial Courts, and he seeks to reclaim the town of Untergard. With him are a group of a hundred religious exiles fleeing the capital of Altdorf in the aftermath of the Al-Ulric riots, forced from their homes and seeking asylum in the far North.

Their destination is long ahead of them, however, and there are many who do not wish them well on this journey.

Current Story

With the discovery of Grundrisse's temple gold, thieves have apparently come out of the woodwork. Some of it has gone missing, and Ulric, the god to whom the gold is devoted, has apparently cursed the convoy, sending wolves to attack and harry the pilgrims. Viktor is organising anyone he can spare to hunt down the thieves and retrieve the gold.
